Chloe Grace Moretz Gushes Over “Badass” Mom

Chloë Grace Moretz is officially a Mrs.

The Kick-Ass actress married Kate Harrison in a private ceremony over Labor Day Weekend following seven years together, the couple confirmed to Vogue Sept. 1.

And while photos of their nuptials have yet to be revealed, Chloë and Kate—who confirmed their engagement back in January—did provide glimpses at their gorgeous custom Louis Vuitton looks designed by Nicolas Ghesquière leading up to the big day.

“When we got engaged, I knew immediately that I wanted to reach out to Nicolas and Louis Vuitton [to] see if he would be interested in making my wedding dress,” Chloë told Vogue in a video published Sept. 1, “and got a very overwhelmingly excited response from Nicolas that not only would he be willing to make my wedding dress but he also wanted to include Kate in that—and to make both of [the] wedding dresses and our after-party looks.”

And the results went above and beyond her expectations. To head down the aisle, Chloë, 28, opted for an “old Hollywood-inspired” baby blue wedding dress that featured ruffle detailing and spaghetti straps.

“It looks like ice cream or something,” the actress said of the unique color choice. “Like a confection!”

As for Kate, the model kept it classic with a strapless fitted white gown with floral stitching for the ceremony, and a floor-length see-through white tunic and matching trousers for the after-party. The 34-year-old finished off her ethereal looks by donning a mesh veil that fell just below her eyes.

“It’s perfect,” she said of her after-party ensemble. “I’ve always loved sheer overlays, so when I mentioned that initially for Nicolas, he was like, ‘I’ll do it for your after-party look.'”

Of course, their outfits were just one of the many ways in which the couple celebrated what they love most in the world. In fact, Chloë revealed that all of the decor for the two-day affair paid tribute to their favorite pastimes.

“A big part of the wedding is [about] sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone that’s going to be there,” she explained. “So there’s fishing, horseback riding and poker. Kate made a custom poker mat herself, so we’re going to kind of be leaning into it. Our second day is going to be line dancing and everything.”

She added, “We’ve been together for almost seven years and making this promise to each other in a new way, and exchanging these vows—I think it’s important to just stay every day choosing each other.”
