Kiefer Sutherland Cancels U.S. Tour Over “Very Low” Ticket Sales in Candid Message

Kiefer Sutherland will be going home sooner than planned.

The “Going Home” singer—who has been on his Love Will Bring You Home Tour in Europe—announced that he’s canceled the U.S. leg of his concert series following low ticket sales.

“With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales,” he wrote in a May 15 Instagram post. “I don’t think it’s fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses.”

Kiefer, 59, expressed that he’s “looking forwarding to touring the United States again at a more suitable time.”

“I hope you understand,” he continued, before sharing a message for those who purchased tickets, “Refunds will be available from point of purchase.”

The actor—known for his roles on 24 and Designated Survivor—first announced his tour in February ahead of the upcoming release of his fourth album, Grey, which comes out May 29.

“To begin, I want to express how happy and excited I am to be releasing my fourth album, Grey. The songs were written and recorded over a two-year period from 2024 to 2026,” Kiefer wrote of his forthcoming album on his website. “In many ways these songs mark a growth for me personally, as I wrote less about observations and more about personal feelings that I have been navigating in my own life.”

Kiefer is the latest artist in a growing list of singers who have recently postponed or canceled their tours or shows amid reports of fans rebelling against high ticket prices.

Yet, several performers who have made such announcements—including Post Malone, Meghan Trainor and Zayn Malik—have cited other reasons.

While Post pushed the start of his Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 in order to complete unfinished music, Meghan made the “difficult decision” to cancel her upcoming Get in Girl tour to focus on her family after welcoming baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor with husband Daryl Sabara in January.

As for Zayn, the former One Direction singer canceled all of the U.S. dates on his KONNAKOL Tour after he was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons.

Meanwhile, as Kiefer—who has acted in films like Phone Booth and Mirrors in addition to his career as an Americana singer—wraps up his tour in the U.K. and Europe, read on to see more singers who are also actors.
