Wrap pants are shaping up to be one of the defining pant trends of spring and summer 2026, merging the ease of wide-leg trousers with the draped effect of a wrap skirt.
The silhouette has already been spotted throughout Copenhagen street style and vacation dressing alike, but the styling possibilities are what’s making the trend feel especially wearable.
So, how are fashion people actually styling wrap pants right now?
According to stylist Mac Rose, the look works best when paired with relaxed basics and textured layers. “I’m seeing them paired with sheer tank tops and silk bandana caps for the hair,” she says. “I’m seeing them with knit tank tops that mesh the fabric of winter with the silhouettes of summer.”

For everyday outfits, Rose recommends grounding the statement silhouette with simpler pieces. “The safest way to style them is with a heavyweight T-shirt,” she explains. “The heaviness of the fabric won’t cling to the body.”
When shopping for wrap pants, Rose says fabric should be a priority. “There isn’t any stretch needed in trousers with wrap detailing, so the natural fiber count should be very high,” she says. She also recommends paying close attention to tie placement. “You’ll definitely want to make sure the tie is hitting the side of the hip,” she adds, noting that side ties keep the silhouette looking cleaner and more intentional.
As for shoes, it all depends on the hemline. “If the trousers are tailored and hit right around your ankle, it’s dealer’s choice,” Rose says, recommending everything from loafers to ballet flats and flip-flops.

What are the easiest ways to style wrap pants for everyday wear?
“I think they look great paired down with a heavyweight boxy t-shirt. My favorite is the men’s heavyweight from KOTN. Wrap pants are one of those pieces that have a bit of push and pull built into one item. It feels corporate until you see the wrap detailing, which makes it all of a sudden feel more relaxed. Leaning into that with a t-shirt that’s made of a nice heavy fabric carries that effortlessly cool style all the way through the outfit.”

“Wrap pants will pull a lot of focus to the lower abdomen, so pairing something with an equal amount of focus at the top of the frame, like a cropped jacket with some cool buttons or lapels, or a slouchy off-the-shoulder knit will set you up for a balanced look.”

What shoes work best with different wrap pant lengths?
“It definitely depends on how far down the pants go. If barefoot, the pants hit the floor, they should be paired with a small heel, like a strappy sandal with a block heel to elongate the pant fabric and give it the opportunity to lie flat and clean. If the trousers are tailored and hit right around your ankle, its dealers choice! Flip flops, loafers, or ballet flats could go!”
