Dezeen Showroom: South Korean brand Flat Point has released a series of modular furniture pieces built from panels of extruded aluminium.
Designed for flexibility, the DOB Modular System works through the combination of a series of smooth, linear panels that can be configured into various forms. The acronym DOB stands for “disassemble or build” in reference to the combination possibilities.

“Whenever and however your environment changes, it is designed to be configured in a variety of ways using several standardised components,” the studio said.
“In other words, it allows users to choose a configuration according to their changing environment and needs, always letting people realise their dream space.”

The standardised aluminium components are attached using three types of connectors that allow for a range of configurations. In this way, the furniture items can be tailored for use in homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
Additional design details include a free-stop door feature for user convenience and powder coating available in a range of colours.
The DOB Modular System is among products featured at the Portrait of Korean Living exhibition, taking place at 3 Days of Design 2026.
