CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A fight involving at least 6 people on Thursday resulted in a handgun being fired into the air by another person in a park near a Chula Vista school, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the Chula Vista Community Park, located at 1060 Eastlake Parkway, just north of Eastlake High School, the Chula Vista Police Department confirmed with FOX 5/KUSI.

Authorities say a person not involved in the fight fired a black handgun three times into the air, prompting all of the people in the fight to leave the area.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Police say the incident was captured on video by multiple bystanders.
