SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is working to determine what led to a vehicle rolling over, killing the driver in San Marcos early Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, an 80-year-old woman was driving in the 500 block of San Marcos Blvd just after 3 a.m. Monday when, for reasons still under investigation, her car rolled over. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies are still investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash and said there were no known witnesses. The sheriff’s office said it is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor.
