In today’s edition, FRANCE 24’s Delano D’Souza speaks with the man at the heart of France’s food supply chain. Stéphane Layani is the head of the Rungis wholesale food market – the largest of its kind in Europe – and chairman of the World Union of Wholesale Markets. Earlier this year Layani came out with a book titled Le Monde a faim, or “The World is Hungry” in English. In his interview, he gives his perspective on how France’s food system will transform in the coming years.
