Blue Ocean Traders is working with designer and Chalk Paint inventor Annie Sloan at its Round Top, Texas, location this weekend on a series of live demonstrations and retailer information sessions.

The visit coincides with the October Round Top market for which Blue Ocean Traders said it doubled its inventory to fill its100,000 square foot space.

There are four distinct galleries at Round Top: Cash-and-Carry, a lower-level Warehouse, the main Showroom, and The Annex.

“The Annex is particularly special with top-tier vintage and antique finds from across the globe that are suited to showcase the talents of Annie Sloan,” said Jason Mulvene, founder and president of Blue Ocean Traders. “Right now, The Annex features an abundance of European-sourced rare finds selected specifically for the connoisseurs of our Round Top location.”

Sloan will personally host two demos on both Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 and be available to help those interested in becoming a Chalk Paint retailer. No reservation is required.

The first session, entitled, “The Story of Chalk Paint,” is at 11am, on both Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 in Blue Ocean Traders’ space in The Annex.

The second session, “Designer Finish with Chalk Paint,” explains how to create bespoke looks for interiors and antiques. That takes place at 3 p.m. both days, in Blue Ocean Traders’ Annex space.

“Round Top in Texas is one of my favorite places on earth — exciting, eclectic and completely crazy in the very best way,” said Sloan, owner of Annie Sloan Interiors. “From Americana and rustic farmhouse to everything in between, it’s where the real magic of design happens. I love meeting the passionate collectors, experts and connoisseurs who come here, discovering incredible pieces and seeing great ideas brought back to life.”

In addition to the demos, there will be a cash-and-carry and the main showroom newly styled with samples of all available inventory, according to Blue Ocean Traders.
