A deputy-involved shooting occurred in Lakeside after a man reportedly experiencing an overdose refused to comply with the deputy’s instructions and pointed an unknown object at the deputy, resulting in the deputy firing one round at the man, who was apprehended shortly after and faces charges of deterring a peace officer and assaulting emergency personnel.
