See Julia Roberts and Husband Danny Moder’s Rare Red Carpet Date Night
Julia Roberts definitely didn’t want to run away from this red carpet.
Especially because the Runaway Bride star had a very special guest join her at the 2025 Venice Film Festival: husband Danny Moder. And it was a rare outing for the two, who were last on a red carpet together in 2020.
The couple—who share twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, and Henry, 18—were on hand Aug. 29 for the Venice premiere of Julia’s latest film, director Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt.
Julia, 57, swapped out her Luca-emblazoned cardigan for a long-sleeved black gown, featuring a diamond pattern and accessorized with long diamond earrings, a bracelet and a ring. Danny, 56, kept it classic in a black suit, paired with a striped green and blue tie. And true to his profession as a cinematographer, he was recording the action on his iPhone.
And after 23 years together, Julia is thankful to have Danny’s love, especially as the Pretty Woman actress credits him with being the key to her “lustrous youth.”
“Good genes, leading a life that is fulfilling, and I have said this—and I say it usually as kind of a joke—but I do believe in the love of a good man,” she told British Vogue in 2024. “I believe that my husband loves me and cares for me in a way that makes me feel deeply, deeply happy.”

And she was especially grateful that she and Danny found each other later in life, on the set of her 2001 movie The Mexican.
“The luckiest aspect of my work life/family life is that the success of my work life came earlier,” Julia explained. “So by the time I had the success of my family life and had a husband and children who wanted to stay home, I had been working for 18 years.”

She added, “I felt that I had the luxury. I didn’t have to pick one or the other.”
