SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — No bail as been set for Noel Trevino, the man accused of killing 71-year-old Wanda Taylor in her National City home last week. In court Monday, a judge deemed Trevino a danger to the community.

Prosecutors say 30-year-old Trevino posed as a salesman with a clipboard and name badge last Wednesday morning. They say he made contact with the victim at her home on Division Street before leaving the area for a short time.

Prosecutors say the victim left her home briefly, and during that time, Trevino returned. Surveillance video captures him walking around the home trying to open the doors to get inside.

When Taylor returned home, prosecutors say Trevino took a softball-sized rock and hit her over the head twice as she entered her home, then used two kitchen knives to stab her to death.

Investigators say he ransacked the home and stayed inside until the victim’s husband, Ernest Taylor, arrived home later that day and made the discovery.

Prosecutors say Trevino has no ties to San Diego and are asking the public for any information.

Meanwhile Taylor’s family has started a GoFundMe to help during this difficult time.
