A motorcyclist riding with friends in Chula Vista is dead after the group found his crashed motorcycle on the side of the road.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A motorcyclist is dead after riding with friends in Chula Vista.
A group of motorcyclists were riding on Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista Saturday afternoon when they realized one of the group was not with them after getting to their location.
After circling back the way they came, California Highway Patrol reports the group found their missing friend and his crashed motorcycle on the side of the road down a small hill.
CHP reports it appears he may have been riding too fast through a left curve and went off the road and was ejected from his motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified by authorities.
CHP took the chance to remind drivers to slow down, drive at safe speeds, and to adhere to road conditions and suggested speed limits.
