New York — Design house Schumacher announced it will open a to-the-trade Schumacher Studio in Salt Lake City in October.

The 2,500-square-foot space is located at 3775 South Highland Drive and will be a full-service, go-to resource for designers and a destination for all things decorating.

“Salt Lake City has become one of the most exciting design markets in the country,” said Emily Romero, Schumacher North America president. “There’s a deep respect in the community for traditional design and a real understanding that home is where the heart is. As more people and families put down roots in Utah, the appetite for thoughtful, quality design has grown right alongside them, and we wanted to bring Salt Lake City’s designers a resource that’s built around the same classic, enduring style they already gravitate toward. This market takes home seriously, and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

Designer David Frazier designed the interior architecture of the new space, creating a seamless environment in which interior designers will have access to almost 10,000 wallcovering, fabric and trim samples from Schumacher and sister brands including Patterson Flynn, Backdrop, Tillett Textiles and more.

There will be a dedicated workspace for hosting client meetings and creating design schemes in tandem with the Schumacher sales team, and the studio also will host frequent design-industry events.
