HIGH POINT — New Classic Home Furnishings plans to introduce more than 575 SKUs across over 120 collections at the upcoming High Point Market, the largest product launch in the company’s history.

The introductions will span bedroom, living room, dining room, youth, outdoor and occasional furniture.

The expanded assortment follows New Classic’s acquisition earlier this year by GigaCloud Technology, which the supplier said has added product development, research and global sourcing resources.

“Retailers are fighting for margin, and the fastest way to protect it is by giving customers a reason to walk in and buy at full price,” said Iman Schrock, GigaCloud’s president. “That means newness and a lot more choice at price points that actually move.”

Schrock said the introductions amount to about a quarter of New Classic’s line in a single market. According to the company, GigaCloud’s sourcing network and supplier relationships have helped it broaden development and move products from concept to market more quickly.

New Classic also is pitching retailers on two ways to expand their offerings: its U.S.-stocked furniture, which is ready to ship, and access to additional suppliers through GigaCloud’s marketplace. Schrock said the marketplace gives retailers more products to sell without requiring them to hold the inventory, reducing capital commitments and markdown risk.

New Classic’s High Point showroom is located next to the Transportation Terminal at 135 S. Hamilton St.
