Amid illegal Israeli settlement surges, continued attacks in Gaza and the West Bank alongside tensions throughout Occupied Palestinian Territory, the Security Council discussed the latest developments on Wednesday, with the UN Special Envoy stressing that “human dignity must be at the centre of all efforts” to overcome the current fragile ceasefire and continued suffering.   • In Gaza, most people remain internally displaced, in harsh living conditions and exposed to ongoing deadly Israeli military strikes, with 90 per cent experiencing moderate-to-high water insecurity in July, according to updates from the UN relief agency, OCHA
  • In the West Bank, Israeli operations injured more than 50 Palestinians and demolished 25 Palestinian owned structures while 38 settler attacks were reported in just one week, resulting in casualties, property damage or both
