Jason Kelce, Austin Swift Roles in Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Wedding Revealed
Jason Kelce and Austin Swift were the real MVPs of their siblings’ wedding day.
At Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s July 3 nuptials—which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City—the retired NFL player and music executive teamed up to play a special role in getting Travis and Taylor down the aisle.
“Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen,” her rep told E! News in a press release. “Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Of course, their families—and the Billy Madison star—were just a few of the reported 1000 guests who gathered in midtown. Joining them were Taylor’s longtime friend Abigail Anderson, many of Travis’ Chiefs teammates NFL peers, plus stars like Gigi Hadid, Karlie Knoss and Machine Gun Kelly.
Prior to the star-studded celebrations, Jason joked that his most memorable contribution to his brother’s big day might be his trademark shirtless dancing.
“Listen, the first time I met Taylor was at a Buffalo Bills game,” Jason told the Wall Street Journal Magazine in 2025 of the playoff game where he supported Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, two years prior. “I jumped out of a suite. She invites us back to things now! We’ll see if the shirt stays on or off.”

Even if his new sister-in-law approved of Jason letting his formal wear fly, the retired Philadelphia Eagle noted his wife Kylie Kelce—with whom he shares kids Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and baby girl Finnley—would probably have a different opinion.
As Jason put it, “[Kylie was] already telling me to be on my best behavior cause we were meeting Taylor,” so he playfully reminded his wife that he was “black-out drunk and fell asleep at the bar” on their first date in 2015. As he quipped, “This is part of the charm. This is part of the Jason Kelce charm.”

In fact, Taylor’s affinity for the “Kelce charm” is one of the things Jason loves most about her, as he told Travis during a 2025 episode of New Heights.
“You’ve always been a magnetic human being,” Jason said to Travis when applauding Taylor’s appearance on their show earlier that summer. “You’ve gotten the best out of people. And when [Taylor] said you were a ‘human exclamation point,’ I’m saying like, ‘God damn, she is f–king good with words.’ That is such a great way to describe you. It was a banger.”
For Austin’s part, he, too, has been vocal about singing his older sister’s praises.
“I have always had a best friend, a role model, and a caring, tireless, dedicated champion in my corner,” Austin raved in a tribute to Taylor on Instagram for her birthday in 2018. “You have pulled me out of fires and carried me up mountains. The gift of getting to witness you become the wonderful person you are today has been the greatest privilege and honor of my life.”
