Taylor Swift Makes Enchanting Entrance at ‘Toy Story 5’ Premiere
The Toy Story crew has a friend in Taylor Swift.
Days after debuting her song “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, the Life of a Showgirl singer joined cast members Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and more at the June 9 premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
For the event, the Grammy winner donned a strapless, structured dress by Erdem that featured a variety of floral accents and a frayed hem. She paired the chic look with a pair of strappy brown heels.
The heartwarming moment was full circle for Swift, who confessed that she was fulfilling a childhood dream by writing a song for a Toy Story movie. In fact, she also shared rare home video footage of herself as a child alongside the new track. In the snippet, young Swift marches around in a rustic get-up, including a red cowgirl hat, just like Jessie’s.
As such, writing a piece about her childhood favorite came easy for Swift.
“I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages,” Taylor gushed of the meaningful opportunity on Instagram June 1. “I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?”
Swifties have been eagerly waiting for Swift’s musical movie magic to drop since the Grammy winner first teased the collaboration with billboards across the globe showcasing the initials “TS” in front of 13 clouds, as well as a countdown clock using the Toy Story font.

And there are only more milestones to come for the “Love Story” songwriter this year, with her wedding to Travis Kelce anticipated in the coming months this summer. And interestingly, her wedding isn’t something she thought much about.
“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life,” Taylor said on the U.K.’s Heart Radio, “but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person.”
Toy Story 5 debuts in theaters June 19. For all the stars joining Taylor in going to infinity and beyond at the premiere, keep reading.
