Dezeen Showroom: Japanese brand AA Danto will release new lines of porcelain tiles during 3 Days of Design, including collections by designer Ingegerd Råman and Swedish firm Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects.
AA Danto collaborated with Swedish firm Claesson Koivisto Rune Architects and designer Ingegerd Råman on separate collections of tiles, which the brand describes as being “deconstructed and reimagined for modern daily life”.
Tiles in Claesson Koivisto Rune’s ranges explore rhythm, texture and modular composition, while Råman’s are informed by her sensitivity to proportion, light and material, according to the brand.
The separate collections are united by their porcelain materiality, each equipped with the brand’s material research and technical knowledge.
“The brand explores what ceramic tiles can become when freed from convention – elements that shape space, surface and the rituals of daily life,” said AA Danto.
“Each collection is developed in close dialogue with designers and architects, balancing Danto’s material heritage with ongoing experimentation.”
The tile collections comprise various size formats and colourways.
