The Pitt’s Patrick Ball Has Hilarious Reaction to More Potential Cast Changes

There was no bad blood between Noah Wyle and Sepideh Moafi during the second season of The Pitt.

Moafi—who played Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, the attending physician training to fill in for Wyle’s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch character as he prepared for his sabbatical—denied rumors that she feuded with her costars behind the scenes.

“Absolutely not,” the actress affirmed in a Variety interview published May 27. “We’re really great colleagues.”

In fact, Moafi said their “great working relationship” was why it “felt safe to do the darker, dirtier work” of the season two finale, when Robby angrily confronted Al-Hashimi about her seizure disorder and threatened to report her to the hospital for withholding critical information about her abilities as a doctor.

“Between setups, we were shooting the s–t and laughing,” the 40-year-old continued. “So, that’s completely false that there’s a personal sort of beef or rivalry between us, at least not that I’m aware of.”

She added, “You can check with Noah, but I don’t know about this.”

Moafi also shut down speculation that her storyline—which was left open-ended as her character ended her shift uncertain if she would be losing her medical license—was written as such due to her rumored rift with Wyle, who also serves as an executive producer on the medical drama.

As she bluntly put it, “I do not have that power.”

Still, the Deuce alum confirmed that she will be returning for another season.

“Nothing is clear to me as to what’s happening with the story, how many episodes, all that,” Moafi said, “but I am coming back.”

Indeed, details about season three are scarce. However, Wyle recently teased that “the plan” is for the forthcoming episodes to take place in “late fall” after season two’s Fourth of July weekend.

“In the wintertime, you get more car accidents, more black ice, more boilers exploding and that kind of stuff,” the 54-year-old told People in April. “Different wardrobe, different vibe.”

But until season three gets a premiere date, keep reading for more upcoming TV releases…
