Jason Derulo exclusively shared with E! News at the 2026 American Music Awards that despite his various business ventures, his investment in Rocket Carwash has yielded incredible results.
Jason Derulo Turned Rocket Carwash Into $2 Billion Business Venture
Jason Derulo is never in his head when it comes to investments.
Although the “Want to Want Me” singer admitted that he’s certainly made plenty of financial decisions that didn’t pan out, he has gotten lucky with a few of the choices he’s made.
“My best investment was Rocket Carwash,” Jason exclusively told E! News at the 2026 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 25. “That is something that I can hang my hat on that went very well.”
He explained that the carwash service—which uses a subscription-based model with memberships—is now valued at $2 billion. But even with the success of Rocket Carwash, Jason is very familiar with what can happen if “it went all wrong.”
“I got a lot of worst investments, a lot of those,” the 36-year-old added. “I think it’s important for people to know that it’ll probably go wrong way more times than it’s gonna go well—but you only need one to go well.”
“And if you get more than one,” he mused, “fantastic. But you only need really one. Gotta get lucky one time.”
Despite his financial success, the “In My Head” singer—who has also invested in fitness studio Rumble Boxing, hotspot eatery Catch LA and the Omaha Supernovas major league volleyball team—has learned that any money he makes off his business ventures will never “even come close to the happiness” that he gets as a performer.

“Every single time I’m about to go perform—and every single time after I perform—I say, ‘Thank you, God, for me to be able to do the thing that I love to do most,’” he shared. “I say, ‘Thank you, God, that I’m able to make the music that I’m making. for people to actually listen to it.’”
“That is what passion is,” Jason said. “That is what happiness is. It’s not about any dollar or any amount of money.”
