Chace Crawford Talks “Gossip Girl” Reboot & “The Boys”
Chace Crawford is trying not to kiss and tell.
The Gossip Girl alum set the record straight on whether he dated any of his costars while filming the CW show with Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Taylor Momsen from 2007 to 2012.
“Yeah, there’s things that happen or connections that happen,” Chace said of the cast during the May 11 episode of Armchair Expert, but clarified, “I never dated anyone on the show.”
While he seemed to deny having an IRL relationship with any of the core cast, the 40-year-old did confess to hooking up with guest stars.
“There’s a lot of guest stars and people in the orbit of the show that you’d meet through other friends even,” he explained. “And I remember that was a way to meet people.”
Indeed, Chace previously hinted that he had gotten involved with someone from Gossip Girl, which also featured actors Michelle Trachtenberg, Sebastian Stan and Jessica Szohr.
“I would say those things are inevitable,” Chace shared on Call Her Daddy in 2024. “When you’re in your 20s…the thing is you’re on these things—people probably think it’s these sexy scenes or whatever, that’s like the worst part of it, with 60 people watching. It’s the downtime. You’re doing this show, you’re on set for like 12-14 hours a day and usually there’s some pretty interesting people from all walks of life.”

Comparing his time on set to his “college experience,” Chace noted that he had a thriving social life.
“There’s a lot of actors and people coming onto the show, over the years,” he said. “And I was fortunate enough to have in the city a really good friend group. And everyone else has their little friend group. So you meet people in that wider circle, it’s not just that tiny little circle. There’s a lot of people involved.”
Of course, some of his costars did publicly date—including Blake and Penn; Jessica and Ed; and Leighton and Sebastian—with Chace slyly noted that he “absolutely” has kept secrets about other people who found romance on set.

Blake Lively
The actress who portrayed It Girl Serena van der Woodsen has been keeping very busy since the end of Gossip Girl.
Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot on Sept. 9, 2012, and share four children: daughters James, Inez and Betty and son Olin, born in 2023.
Since the end of 2024, the star of The Age of Adaline, The Shallows, A Simple Favor and more has been embroiled in a legal battle with It Ends With Us actor-director Justin Baldoni since accusing him of misconduct and retaliation. He countersued for defamation but his suit was dismissed by a judge in June 2025.
A judge also threw out 10 of Lively’s 13 claims, including sexual harrassment, in April 2026 and the parties settled in May 2026 before it went to trial.

Penn Badgley
Following his run as Dan Humphrey (who, spoiler alert, was ultimately revealed to be Gossip Girl), Badgley went to an even darker onscreen place playing stalker Joe Goldberg on the hit Netflix series You.
In real life, however, the actor who romanced Lively on and off-screen early in GG‘s six-season run is a family man.
He married Domino Kirke in February 2017 and they’ve since welcomed three sons, including twins born in September 2025.

Leighton Meester
The actress who played privileged Upper East Sider Blair Waldorf continued to be the toast of movies and TV, now starring on the CW/Stan series Good Cop/Bad Cop.
Meester married actor Adam Brody in 2014 and they’re parents of a daughter named Arlo, born in 2015, and a son born in 2020, whose name they have not shared.
“I wouldn’t change anything [about her time on Gossip Girl] because I’m happy where I am now,” Meester told PorterEdit in 2018. “And I think that that’s one of the many wonderful parts of not only having a child and meeting your soulmate, but also I feel really lucky career-wise, really in a place that I want to be.”

Chace Crawford
After graduating from the role of Nate Archibald, Crawford starred on ABC’s Blood & Oil, and appeared in films such as Eloise, All About Nina and Reunion.
The native Texan has played Kevin (aka The Deep) on Amazon’s dark superhero satire The Boys since 2019.

Ed Westwick
The English actor rose to fame as Blair’s beloved Chuck Bass and after hanging up his character’s signature scarf, he went on to play Tybalt in 2013’s Romeo & Juliet and starred in 2015’s short-lived ABC drama Wicked City.
In the fall of 2017, the Los Angeles Police Department started an investigation into sexual assault allegations made by several women against Westwick, which he denied. In July 2018, the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to prosecute after determining there wasn’t enough evidence to file charges in two instances and a third accuser failed to cooperate with investigators.
Originally a star of the 2018 Agatha Christie adaptation Ordeal by Innocence, Westwick’s scenes were reshot in the wake of the allegations.
After sorting out his personal troubles, Westwick married longtime girlfriend Amy Jackson in Italy in August 2024 and they welcomed son Oscar in March 2025. He joined Jackson’s son Andreas, from a previous relationship, in the family fold.

Taylor Momsen
Little J has come a long way since her days trying to snag a place in Blair’s crew. Momsen was just 14 when she starred as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, though she left the show in 2010 as music was her ultimate passion from an early age. She went on to form her band The Pretty Reckless when she was 17.
As for a potential return to acting? “I never say never anymore in life, especially now with all the curveballs the world is throwing everyone,” she told E! at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards, her first red carpet in five years. “But no immediate plans.”
In her personal life, “I’m a very, very trusting person,” Momsen said on a November 2025 episode of Call Her Daddy. “I’m a very guarded person at the same time. So, anyone I let into my life—in any form of a relationship—there’s a life bond there.”

Jessica Szohr
Szohr burst onto the Hollywood scene with her breakout role as Vanessa Abrams in GG. Since that time, the actress has appeared in films The Internship, Ted 2 and Two Night Stand. She’s also been on TV shows Kingdom, Shameless and The Orville.
She gave birth to daughter Bowie Ella with hockey pro fiancé Brad Richardson in January 2021 and the pair went on to tie the knot in August 2024.

Kristen Bell
The snarky voice of Gossip Girl—who returned for the 2021 reboot—turned out to be a bit misleading, considering the dirty laundry-airing blog’s real author.
But Bell has been on a more straightforward path, sharing daughters Lincoln and Delta with Dax Shepard, her husband since 2013, and becoming a go-to face of Hollywood as the now three-time host of the Actor (formerly SAG) Awards.
After GG first signed off in 2012, Bell reprised her titular role in a 2014 film and the 2019 revival of Veronica Mars, as well as starred on NBC’s The Good Place, fronted the Bad Moms films and provided the voice of Anna in Disney’s Frozen franchise.
Since 2024, she has starred opposite Leighton Meester’s real-life love Adam Brody on Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.

Sebastian Stan
Remember when Bucky Barnes was on was on Gossip Girl? That’s right, the actor appeared in 11 episodes of the CW series as bad boy Carter Baizen from 2007 to 2010 and dated Meester during that time.
Stan has since become a household name thanks to his role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Captain America and Avengers films. He also starred on Disney+’s The Falcon and Winter Soldier opposite Anthony Mackie and in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy.
In 2025, Stan won a Golden Globe for his performance in A Different Man as an actor who has an identity crisis after undergoing surgery to repair a facial deformity. And weeks later he was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his turn as Donald Trump in the 1980s-era origin-story biopic The Apprentice.
IRL, the Romanian-born actor has been dating Annabelle Wallis since at least 2022.

Hilary Duff
In her six-episode arc on DD, the Disney Channel alum played Hollywood star Olivia Burke, who sparked a romance with Dan while at NYU and infamously engaged in a threesome with the not-so-Lonely Boy and his BFF Vanessa.
Duff has since starred on the likes of Younger and How I Met Your Father, though a Lizzie McGuire revival headed for Disney+ was scrapped,
The “So Yesterday” singer shares son Luca with ex Mike Comrie and three daughters, Banks, Mae and Townes, with husband Matthew Koma. They tied the knot in 2019.
