Why Zoë Kravitz, Harry Styles Are Sparking Engagement Rumors
Nick Kroll just adores Harry Styles.
After all, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer helped the Big Mouth creator come up with a plan for how to propose to his now-wife Lily Kwong while in the midst of making their movie Don’t Worry Darling in 2020.
“It was the height of Covid and I was proposing to my wife and Harry sort of like—we were planning it out,” Nick said on the April 27 episode of the SmartLess podcast. “We had just done the table read and we were all hanging out and I was sort of figuring it out.”
As for how the proposal went down?
“My wife and I had just moved into our new house and I had a box and I was like, ‘Can you just move this last box?’” Nick continued, but noted how popping the question wasn’t without its hiccups. “She was like, ‘You make me move the f–king box?'”
However, he added, “So she opened the box and there was a bunch of flowers and the ring.”
And while the One Direction member helped the comedian ahead of the proposal, Nick explained that the “sweet boy” didn’t stop there.

“Harry checked in with me to be like, ‘How did it go?'” he said. “So I told him basically before we spoke to our families to let them know because he had been checking in.”
Despite the Grammy winner’s assistance on the proposal, though, Nick and Lily decided to leave him off of the wedding guest list. Why? Well, as the comedian previously said, their Big Sur, Calif., ceremony was “just the two of us.”
“Weddings are beautiful, but they’re also stressful with a lot of people around,” Nick—who now shares son Leo, 5, and daughter Gaia, 2, with Lily—told the Today show in 2020. “So, when you cut it down to just two people and a wedding officiant and a photographer, it was beautiful.”
And as he put it, “It couldn’t have been a more magical day.”
While Nick and Lily got married in 2020, read on to see which celeb couples have tied the knot this year.
