Ethan Jamieson—who starred as the District 4 male tribute in the 2012 adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ YA novel—has been arrested and charged with assault, according to arrest records viewed by E! News.
The former child star was arrested in Raleigh, N.C., after police responded to a report of shots fired on March 22 around 9:52 p.m., according to Lieutenant David Davis of the Raleigh Police Department.
“Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving,” he added. “Two additional occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.”
Detectives identified Jamieson “as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle” and the 27-year-old was subsequently taken into custody March 23.
Jamieson is facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, per Wake County Sheriff’s Office arrest records viewed by E! News. His court date is set for April 30.
E! News has reached out to Jamieson’s agent for comment but has not heard back.
He had previously been arrested in March 2025 for “resisting a public officer,” according to an arrest report viewed by E! News.
Prior to his role in The Hunger Games, Jamieson made his acting debut on a 2009 episode of One Tree Hill. He went on to appear in the 2010 made for TV kids movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16. His last acting credit was on a 2013 episode of the TV series Justified.

Indeed, Jamieson had discussed retirement early on in his acting career. Shortly after starring in The Hunger Games, he expressed uncertainty in becoming an actor full-time and told LancasterOnline in 2012, “I want to be just a normal person.”
He also did not expect the popularity of The Hunger Games franchise, which starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Even though his character was killed early in the first film, he was surprised that so many fans wanted his autograph at the premiere, remarking that it was “pretty awesome” to be recognized.
“I knew that the books were popular,” he told the outlet, “but I didn’t know that the movie was going to be so big.”
