NASA has selected UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography to lead the Earth Dynamics Geodetic Explorer (EDGE) satellite mission, which will monitor land, vegetation, ice sheets and coastal regions to help scientists better understand climate change and natural disasters.
