Taytay, Rizal, PhilippinesThe Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay (RCMET) officially marked a historic milestone with the successful signing of its first International Sisterhood Agreement with the Rotary Club of Gwangju Chungjang, Rotary District 3710, Republic of Korea.

The partnership signifies a shared commitment to Rotary’s core values of service, leadership, and international goodwill, strengthening cross-border collaboration between the two clubs. Beyond a ceremonial undertaking, the Sisterhood Agreement establishes a foundation for long-term cooperation, joint service initiatives, and sustained friendship between Filipino and Korean Rotarians.

As part of the program, both clubs presented their respective Rotary profiles, highlighting their organizational histories, flagship projects, advocacies, and community impact. This exchange fostered deeper understanding and revealed strong alignment in service priorities and mission-driven goals.

The formal signing of the agreement was led by
GP Donato G. Santiago, President of the Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay, and
GP Kim Seongcheol, President of the Rotary Club of Gwangju Chungjang.
The moment symbolized mutual trust, international fellowship, and a shared vision for impactful service beyond borders.

The occasion was further elevated by the presence of the District Governor Nominee of Rotary District 3710, whose attendance underscored district-level support for the partnership. Also present were the President-Elect and President-Nominee of both clubs, ensuring leadership continuity and the sustainability of collaborative initiatives beyond the current Rotary year.
