Interestingly, one of the most unexpected parts of “Too late” comes in the bridge — a section that originated as its own separate demo before finding a perfect home in this song. “It’s one of my favourite parts of the track,” Shye says. “For me, it encapsulates the feeling of finally speaking how you truly feel after holding everything in.
