Inspired by Filipino collage artists, the trippy video embraces imperfection as a mark of authenticity

Manila, PhilippinesThe Bloomfields are set to release the official music video for their latest single “Pink Skies.”

Helmed by the band’s bassist Louie Poco, who both directed and edited the project, the video takes the form of a surreal animated collage, unfolding in a kaleidoscope of psychedelic imagery, band performances, and pop-art influences.

For Poco, the project was more than just a technical experiment; it was a true work of heart and passion. “It was my first time experimenting with green screen and animated collage,” he shares. “No AI involved, just countless hours of hands-on editing and flexing creative muscles.”

Drawing inspiration from Filipino collage artists Andrea Cervantes and Charlie Salazar, Poco channeled their cut-out aesthetic to craft a piece that mirrors the band’s sonic DNA: vintage-tinged, psychedelic, and deeply human.

“Its imperfections are exactly what make it beautiful and trippy,” explains Louie. “It’s not about polished perfection, but about joy, creativity, and the spirit of something crafted with love.”

Sonically, “Pink Skies” brims with Britpop influences and indie rock sensibilities. Equal parts dreamy escape and radiant anthem, the track feels like an endless summer: a shimmering fantasy, a break from reality, and a wish for light to cut through the storm.

Pink Skies” was released earlier this month on all digital music platforms worldwide via Lilystars Records. Watch out for the premiere of the music video this Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:30 PM.
