Dezeen Showroom: part of a fun and sculptural collection by Australian interior design studio YSG for hardware brand Bankston Architectural, the Sensible Streaker door pull offers classic style with a twist.
Like the other designs in the Streaks collection, the Sensible Streaker is distinguished by its composition of tonal timbers, where two types of woods are arranged in alternating stripes.
It marries this surprising material make-up with a linear elongated form that is more familiar, adding up to a door pull that is both vivacious and versatile.
The Sensible Streaker can be installed either vertically or horizontally and gives a statement finish to doors, wardrobes, cupboards and other joinery.
A patinated bronze version of the door pull is also available, providing a material complement to the timber pieces in the collection and extending its usability to outdoor applications.
Bankston Architectural says the Streaks collection demonstrates the beauty, dexterity and strength of timber and recommends it for hospitality and workplace settings as well as homes.
