SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — ICE San Diego on Thursday arrested four undocumented migrants convicted of sex crimes against children, including sexual assault, molestation and rape.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrests of Eduardo Negrete, Hoang Nguyen, Devin Richardson and Walter Ramirez.

Negrete, a Mexican citizen and known gang member from Eastside San Diego, was convicted of lewd acts with a child under 14.

Nguyen, a Vietnam citizen who failed to register as a sex offender, was convicted of molesting a child and lewd acts with a child.

Richardson, a citizen of the Bahamas who failed to register as a sex offender in California, was convicted of sexual assault of minors.

Ramirez, a Cuban citizen, was convicted of rape, drug-induced sexual assault of a minor, and domestic violence.

All four migrants were arrested and remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings to their countries of origin.

Patrick Divver, Field Office Director for ERO San Diego, stated that their “officers will not allow dangerous criminals like these to hide in our neighborhoods.”

“Especially a convicted sex offender who lived next to what appeared to be an in-home daycare and two blocks from an elementary school. By taking them into custody, ICE has removed an immediate threat to public safety and sent a clear message that child predators who are illegal aliens do not belong in our country,” Divver said.
