Salma Hayek Strips Down to Red Bikini to Celebrate 59th Birthday
Salma Hayek is going all-out to ring in her daughter Valentina’s 18th birthday.
The Once Upon a Time in Mexico star—who shares the teen with husband François-Henri Pinault—marked the occasion with a lavish celebration which she shared on social media, including a rare photo of the family of three.
“We ate, we danced, we laughed, we loved… and we kept the party going all weekend,” Salma wrote on Instagram Sept. 22 alongside a carousel of photos and videos from the festivities. “Happy birthday mi cielo, celebrating you never feels long enough.”
One day earlier, the actress shared a throwback photo of Valentina as a child along with a heartfelt birthday message, calling her daughter “my beautiful dancing queen.”
“So many things have changed in your life, but you are always soooo you,” Salma wrote on Instagram. “A kind passionate heart, a wise soul full of magic, a unique unstoppable force of nature with a witty sense of humor and stubborn tenacity.”
Salma added, “Although you were always ahead of your years you will always be in my heart my dream daughter. Feliz cumpleaños Valentina Paloma.”

The 59-year-old has never been shy about detailing her close bond with Valentina. In fact, she previously explained that she treasures being a mom because she once feared she may not get to experience motherhood.
“I had my child so late in life,” she told People in 2015. “I thought I wasn’t going to be able to and it was such an important thing to me.”

But Salma—who is also stepmom to François-Henri’s kids François, 27, and Mathilde, 24, from his marriage to Dorothée Lepère, as well as Augustin, 18, whom he shares with ex Linda Evangelista—noted that keeping up her career was crucial to her as well.
“It’s important that your kids understand that they are the most important thing but it’s not all about them,” she continued. “You set an example that you are also your own person and you have to continue to grow in the field that you are working.”
