Kelly Stafford Gets Candid About Daughter’s Behavioral Issues
Money isn’t everything to Kelly Stafford.
The Morning After podcast host reflected on her relationship with her husband Matthew Stafford, noting that the Los Angeles Rams quarterback’s success has benefited her in more ways than one.
“I am very, very blessed to have an incredible husband who supports me nonstop,” Kelly said during the Aug. 31 episode of the Sunday Sports Club podcast. “And very blessed—which everyone will point out—financially, to be able to do certain things and afford certain luxuries in this life.”
But while the 36-year-old may have access to the finer things, she continued, “I still want to prove to myself that I don’t need any of that.”
And just as important for Kelly is setting an example for her daughters Sawyer and Chandler, both 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5, whom she shares with the NFL star.
“I’m like, ‘You’re not going to grow up spoiled rotten brats. I won’t raise that. I can’t do that,’” she explained. “It’s hard because it could be easy to get them whatever they wanted.”
And having grown up modestly themselves, Kelly said that she and Matthew, 37, were committed to keeping their kids grounded despite their affluent lifestyle.
“My husband didn’t grow up in this type of situation either, so raising kids with it is a learning process,” she noted. “And we learn as we go.”

Kelly hasn’t been shy about discussing her approach to parenting. Back in June, she confessed that occasionally taking weed gummies had a positive impact on how she runs her household.
“Sometimes I feel like gummies make me a better parent,” she said on her Morning After podcast in June. “They calm me down. It’s like the glass of wine.”
And though she admitted to occasionally feeling “a little guilt” over the practice, she pointed out that her kids’ needs were still being met.
“As long as they’re in bed, fed and happy and feel loved, who cares how they get there?” Kelly added. “Just get them there.”
