The Nuggets are no strangers to San Diego, as the team held its 2022-23 training camp at UCSD from late September through early October.
During the 2024-25 NBA regular season, the Timberwolves and the Nuggets played against each other on four separate occasions, with Minnesota sweeping Denver 4-0. Their most recent matchup was on April 1, when the T-Wolves edged the Nuggets in double overtime by one point with the final score 140-139.
In that contest, Minnesota superstar Anthony Edwards put up a double-double with 34 points and 10 rebounds.
However, it wasn’t enough, as three-time league MVP Jokić added another triple-double to his stellar resume, scoring a career-high 61 points while adding 10 assists and 10 rebounds.
