For generations of Filipino Christians, certain worship songs have become more than melodies. They are songs sung in church, shared during worship gatherings, and remembered as part of a lifelong journey of faith. Many of these cherished songs come from PAPURI!’s Salmo series, a collection of Tagalog praise and worship music rooted in Scripture.
Now, these beloved songs are finding new life through PAPURI! Salmo A Capella: “Sa Wagas na Pag-ibig Mo,” a special 10-track album that reimagines familiar worship favorites through the beauty of a cappella music.
The album revisits songs from the Salmo series, offering longtime listeners an opportunity to rediscover the melodies and biblical messages that have accompanied their faith journeys. At the same time, it introduces these Scripture-centered songs to a new generation of listeners, allowing their messages of worship, love, and devotion to reach more hearts.
With its a cappella arrangement, the album places the focus on vocal harmonies and the power of the songs themselves. Without instrumental accompaniment, the voices bring a distinct musical character to these familiar compositions, creating a fresh listening experience while preserving the spiritual heart of the original songs.
The release also highlights the enduring value of Filipino-language worship music. By presenting Scripture-inspired songs in Tagalog, PAPURI! continues to celebrate a musical tradition that has helped Filipino Christians express their faith and connect with God’s Word through music.
For listeners who grew up with the Salmo series, “Sa Wagas na Pag-ibig Mo” offers a chance to revisit meaningful songs with renewed appreciation. For younger audiences discovering these compositions for the first time, the album provides an opportunity to experience the richness of Filipino praise and worship music.
The 10-track album is now available on digital platforms, inviting listeners to enjoy these timeless worship songs at home, during personal devotion, or wherever they find moments for reflection and praise.
