Rob Kardashian Makes Rare Public Appearance for Kim Kardashian’s Birthday
Kim Kardashian isn’t skimming the surface when it comes to birthday fashion.
The Kardashians star debuted two very distinct looks for her 46th birthday dinner at the restaurant Baldi at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills Oct. 20. Proving her glamorous celebration was certainly one to keep up with, she was decked out head to toe—with her dresses were each accompanied by elaborate headpieces.
As she entered the restaurant, Kim opted for a plunging, short green dress from the Paco Rabanne haute couture fall-winter 1995 collection, complete with a bejeweled headdress featuring emerald-colored detailing.
But of course, the SKIMS founder—who shares kids North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex Kanye “Ye” West—had to keep up with the trends as she left the restaurant, switching into a red version of the look also from the Paco Rabanne collection, which had its own signature chainmail-style headpiece that she paired with a long necklace that was perfectly placed among Kim’s décolletage.
And it was certainly a fashion-forward night for the rest of Kim’s loved ones as sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner as well as mom Kris Jenner each arrived dressed to impress.
The evening also marked a rare outing for brother Rob Kardashian, who shared a laugh with his sister as they entered the restaurant—although he kept his all-black ensemble slightly more casual.

Through the years, Kim—who is currently dating Lewis Hamilton—has been candid about her thoughts on aging, sharing that she doesn’t mind the prospect of it. Because, it’s life’s way of telling her she’s doing amazing, sweetie.
“I’m not one that gets nervous about getting older,” she explained to Grazia Magazine in 2020. “I obviously do what I can to try and feel as youthful or to look a certain way.”
“But I’m proud that my kids get me here another year,” Kim, whose dad Robert Kardashian Sr. died in 2003 after a battle with cancer, continued. “I always think about that. Particularly losing your dad or a parent or someone close to you at a young age.”

Still, that’s not to say she doesn’t want to do everything she can to look as young as possible, joking about how far she’d go to procure the fountain of youth.
“I would probably eat s–t if someone told me, ‘If you eat this bowl of poop every single day, you’ll look younger,’” she admitted to Allure in 2022. “Maybe just a bite. I don’t think I can do a whole bowl.”

The reality star was clearly so enthralled with the look—chosen by stylist Law Roach—that she wore a red version on her way out of the restaurant, also from the same Paco Rabanne collection. While she kept her heels the same, Kim switched out the headpiece to a red, chain-mail style, finishing off the outfit with a long necklace that complimented the headpiece.

Rob’s Rare Outing
The 39-year-old—who has largely remained out of the spotlight since choosing to leave reality TV 10 years ago—made a special appearance for his sister’s birthday, although he opted for a slightly more casual look than the rest of his family, wearing black pants, a black shirt and jacket and a black cap.

Kris looked just as fashion-forward as all of her kids, wearing a long, butter yellow coat with a floral design as well as brown and yellow feathers across the front and sleeves. She finished off her look with cream pumps, pearl earrings and her signature black bob.

Growing Old Gracefully
As Kim reached her 40s, she found that she started looking at aging in a new light, telling The Sunday Times in an interview published Oct. 3, “There’s definitely something about being in your 40s that gives you this extra confidence. You know your path and that feels good.”
“I’ve switched my mentality, and now I’m coming from a place of longevity and cellular health,” she added. “I love trying things to make me feel confident but I’m more into things that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.”

Kim also found that becoming a mom to kids North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex Kanye “Ye” West made her appreciate her own relationship with her family even more.
“My family was so close growing up; now that I’m a mom, I understand the bond my mom and dad felt with us,” she shared in a 2017 blog post. “There can be ups and downs with kids but no matter what, I always learn so much from them.”
