‘The Golden Life’ Official Trailer | New Series Premieres Oct. 20 | The OGs Are Back on E!
Raise the curtain, lower the lights, Luann de Lesseps is ready to take center stage with her man.
The Golden Life star admitted that her boyfriend of almost three years Michael Riemerschmid was shocked by how “forward” and almost cougar-like her fellow costars Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon were towards him on the show.
“It’s like those girls came on,” Luann exclusively told E! News’ The Rundown‘s Erin Lim Rhodes at the show’s Oct. 14 premiere in New York City. “When Michael came to Palm Beach, I said, ‘You know, Sonja, I’m sure she’s going to be into you for sure.’”
In fact, the 61-year-old felt like she needed to warn her boyfriend, telling him, “Watch out for Sonja.”
Still, she didn’t want her ladies to not have any fun with her man.
“Listen, they’re my friends, so I’m that kind of girl. I’m a girls’ girl,” Luann revealed. “So I’m like, ‘Have a dance with Michael.’”
But of course, the former Real Housewives of New York City alum wasn’t nervous about bringing her man around her friends, because she knew that his life is only a cabaret with her.
“He’s a real man, and I feel really lucky at this point in my life to have found somebody like Michael,” she raved. “European, sophisticated, smart, gorgeous, fun. He adores me. When a man loves you, it’s like, you can look at other women, but it just doesn’t really make your heart go thumpity, thumpity, thumpity.”

And Luann’s own heart has been excitedly racing since she decided to join The Golden Life.
“To be reunited with the OGs of New York, are you kidding me?” she exclaimed. “It’s so much fun. They’re like my family and I’m excited for everyone to live that ride with us, which is the golden part of life.”
Certainly, the Countess has no plans of slowing down just because she’s entering a new chapter of life in Florida.

As Lu declared in the recently released Golden Life trailer, “I’m coming here to Palm Beach to regain my power.”
And thankfully, she won’t be competing with her costars in the Sunshine State’s dating pool..
“She loves to flirt with any man that is mine,” Lu quipped of Sonja in the teaser amid some friendly competition. “Those girls are man-hungry, sex-starved cougars.”
Don’t miss the premiere of The Golden Life Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 10 p.m. on E!. In the meantime, keep reading to get better acquainted with the cast.
