ABS&CBN Earns Multiple Recognitions at USTV + Media Excellence Awards

ABS-CBN personalities and programs bagged honors at the USTV+ Media Excellence Awards, with “Hari ng Aksyon sa Ating Henerasyon,” Coco Martin, receiving a Special Citation for Excellence in Media and Television Storytelling.

Coco was cited for his work as an actor, director, and storyteller who has brought compelling Filipino stories to audiences over the years.

“This honor is very special because of the blood, sweat, and hard work we put in all the programs we create, from “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” and now in “Sigabo.” We put our heart in these stories, which reflect the stories of everyday Filipinos,” shared Coco in his acceptance speech.

“I want to thank ABS-CBN for continuously creating meaningful programs that mirror our history and lives,” added Coco.

The reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” was the recipient of the Media Excellence Award in Entertainment and Popular Culture for Game/Reality Show (Program Category).

ABS-CBN News’ flagship newscast “TV Patrol” also received the Media Excellence Award in Responsible News Reporting (Program Category) for its commitment to delivering relevant and credible news to Filipinos. One of its anchors, veteran broadcast journalist Bernadette Sembrano, accepted the award for the program.

Meanwhile, “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” host Luis Manzano took home the Media Excellence Award in Entertainment and Popular Culture for Game Show (Individual Category), for his dynamic hosting and ability to entertain audiences across various game show formats.

Acclaimed director Cathy Garcia-Sampana also received the Media Excellence Award in Entertainment and Popular Culture for Drama (Individual Category) for her exceptional contributions to Philippine film and television.

Bianca Gonzalez also received the Media Influencer Award in Psychological Awareness and Advocacy for using her platform to raise awareness and encourage conversations on mental health and well-being.

P-pop group BGYO also added excitement to the affair as they performed their brand new hits from their latest EP for the attendees.

The USTV+ Media Excellence Awards honors media personalities, programs, and organizations that demonstrate excellence and make meaningful contributions to the Philippine media landscape.
