A major step in this direction was the enactment of the Cebu Province Digital Services Act of 2025, which established a province-wide digital services framework aimed at streamlining government transactions, strengthening data protection, and improving the quality and accessibility of public services.
Complementing this initiative is the creation of the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Council (PICTC), the province’s policy-making and coordinating body for ICT development.
