Sofia Richie Shares Glimpse Into Daughter Eloise’s Island Adventure-Themed 2nd Birthday Party

Sofia Richie Grainge is proving that the twos don’t have to be so terrible.

The 27-year-old celebrated her daughter Eloise Samantha Grainge—who she welcomed with husband Elliot Grainge, 32—turning 2 years old with an island adventure-themed birthday party on May 18. As seen in photos shared on Sofia’s Instagram Story, the tropical backyard bash featured dozens of colorful balloons, as well as seashells and faux coral reef, and a pink arch that read “Happy Birthday Eloise.”

In addition to showing off the themed decor, Sofia—who added son Henry Cecil Grainge to her family of four with Elliot in March 2026—shared a cool, calm and collected selfie in sunglasses to celebrate the event coming together.

The model declared, despite all the elaborate party planning, “I’m alive!”

As such, Sofia went on to share more candid moments from Eloise’s big day, like the moment her toddler spent time in an all-white bouncy house, including a mini ball pit fit for the 2-year-old and her young cousins.

Among Eloise’s special guests was Sofia’s BFF, podcaster Jake Shane. Though not technically a godparent to Sofia’s oldest, he did attend the social media star’s wedding in France alongside Paris Hilton, Carter Reum, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Joel Madden, Nicole Richie and, of course, Sofia’s father Lionel Richie, who walked her down the aisle.

To celebrate Eloise’s latest milestone, Jake unveiled a photo of him holding her in his arms while showing off her adorable pigtails. As the TikToker wrote, “I love her so much.”

The party also included plenty of under-the-sea arts and crafts, with Eloise getting creative while decorating a ceramic seashell with pastel paints, creating what’s sure to be a precious keepsake for the mother-daughter duo.

Indeed, Eloise loves coloring, as evidenced by a playful shot of the toddler drawing with crayons shared by her mom on Instagram earlier this week. “life lately,” Sofia captioned a set of day-in-the-life photos, including a rare look at her newborn, adding “stroller walks, Eloise giggles, beautiful corners.”

“I didn’t realize her first birthday was going to be such a mix of emotion for me,” Sofia captioned photo from the party on Instagram. “On one hand it’s the most amazing beautiful milestone. On the other hand I look back and realize those tiny little moments are something I’ll never get back.”

The model added, “Watching her grow has been a gift. My greatest achievement will ALWAYS be her. She has given me purpose, and I am nothing without her.”
