Dezeen Showroom: Austrian design brand Neuvermoebelt has released a modular system comprising tall, base and curved units for creating compact yet design-forward kitchens.

Just like the wider Home Composite Unit 33 series, the Tiny Kitchen Green Line is an alternative to traditional built-in kitchens, designed to act as practical items of furniture rather than purely functional units.

The Tiny Kitchen Green Line is constructed from bamboo, stainless steel and eco-based linoleum

The modules – base, tall and curved end units – are as adept at creating compact kitchens as they are larger configurations, thanks to the system’s scalable nature.

Each module is constructed from bamboo, fronted with ecological linoleum and topped with a hot-rolled stainless steel worktop – materials that contribute to its reduced carbon footprint, according to Neuvermoebelt.

The modules are fitted with high-spec appliances, such as ovens and tapware

The use of renewable and recyclable materials reflects the studio’s focus on sustainability and creates modules durable enough to withstand long-term daily use.

“The idea is to create kitchens that feel like furniture – calm, tactile and long-lasting,” said designers Manuela Freigang and Christian Bachmann. “We focus on materials that age well and on solutions that adapt to everyday life.”
