Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee, aka MMD, unveils a bold new chapter in her music journey with “Makatanong,” an R&B-pop track that confronts chaos sparked by intrusive curiosity.
Self-composed by MMD, “Makatanong” serves as a contrasting yet fitting follow-up to her debut single “Reyna.” The song highlights an empowered woman reclaiming her voice and taking control of her narrative.
Last year, MMD made her debut as a recording artist with her first single “Reyna” released under the groundbreaking partnership of ABS-CBN Music and GMA.
The track reached the top 5 of Spotify Philippines Viral Songs Chart and has amassed over two million streams. It also landed on various editorial playlists including Spotify’s OPM Rising and Viral Hits Philippines. “Reyna” was also featured in several episodes of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” during the Sparkle artist’s stint as a house guest.
