Promotion: Italian mosaic brand Sicis debuts three furniture pieces at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy, which is set within a booth covered in mosaic portraits.

The exhibition is part of the brand’s “Impossible to ignore” theme for Milan design week 2026, which aims to showcase visually striking design.

“We believe that design should never be invisible,” said Sicis founder Leo Placuzzi. “A space must have personality; it must leave a mark.”

“With this edition, we want to demonstrate that Total Living is not a sum of coordinated elements, but a declaration of vision.”

The exhibition will be split into “distinct areas”, each of which will be dominated by a large artistic mosaic portrait as a nod to the brand’s roots.

The furniture pieces debuted include the Amaro armchair, the Mirai sofa and the Vertex table, all of which have unique and striking silhouettes.

The Amaro chair was informed by Amaro liquor

Named after the Italian herbal liqueur, the Amaro armchair takes cues from the gently curved glass used to drink the spirit. A round base supports a “delicately opening” chair, with the entire form covered in a rust-coloured leather.

The design of the Mirai sofa takes cues from the folded layers of Japanese clothing. Its backrest curves around and is made of slightly overlapping units, while the seat also features a slight curve.

“The Mirai sofa features volumes that evoke layered fabric panels flowing horizontally, like silk in motion,” said the team.

“The transitions between the cushions are continuous and uninterrupted, recalling the overlapping layers of traditional Japanese clothing.”

The Vertex table is made of an angular bronze glass base and the brand’s Vetrite slabs, a mixture of glass with special polymers and metals.

The spikey base mirrors the “geological complexity of a crystal”, while the thin tabletop features a marbled pattern of earthy tones.

The pieces are shown in Hall 13 of Salone del Mobile 2026, while Sicis has also opened an exhibition at its local Via Fatebenefratelli showroom during Milan design week.

Also at Fuorisalone Sicis presents “Elements. Jewel and design, beyond form”, an immersive installation that, combining art and industrial vision, offers a journey developed around the four primary elements: Air, Fire, Earth, and Water.

In an integrated creative ecosystem, the installation unites the souls of Sicis: fine micromosaic jewellery, interior design, and technological innovation.

“In a market where understatement has become dominant, Sicis asserts the value of presence,” said the brand. “With ‘impossible to ignore’, SICIS brings a clear message to Salone 2026: in contemporary design, what endures is what dares to be seen.”
