XG Reveals How Blackpink’s Lisa Reacted to Their Coachella Performance
Lambrini Girls will not be rocking out at Coachella 2026.
The punk band has dropped out of the lineup after its lead singer Phoebe Lunny fractured her neck and was diagnosed with an acute brain injury.
“We are so gutted guys,” Phoebe—who fronts the band alongside Selin Macieira-Bosgelmez—shared in an April 8 Instagram post. “We want to be there so badly.”
“If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it,” she continued, referencing a 2015 concert in which the Foo Fighters frontman performed from a chair after fracturing his fibula. “This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad.”
Phoebe added, “Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now.”
As for how they sustained the injury? Phoebe explained that she fractured her neck while in Australia and the injury was misdiagnosed, prompting her to seek “late treatment.”
“Doctors orders are I can’t fly or perform for 6 weeks,” the U.K.-based musician shared. “But I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank f–k lol.”
And to show that they’re recovering in stride, Phoebe posted a photo showing their hospital gown cheekily pulled up to reveal their thong underwear.
“Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy,” she added. “Thank you for always showing up for us.”
But this wasn’t the first time one of the Lambrini Girls had to sit out a show. In September, Selin—formerly known as Lilly Macieira—announced that she was taking a one-month break from touring to focus on her mental health.

“I’ve always struggled badly in touring environments, and despite my best efforts, those struggles have consumed me entirely and spat me out again,” the bassist wrote on Instagram. “Growing up with bipolar and autism undiagnosed until four years ago, I’ve lived entirely accustomed to severe discomfort as a baseline for existence.”
After experiencing “one of the most intense and destructive manic episodes” they had ever had, Selin realized they had to step back and “try to simulate a safe environment, to mend the foundations.”
“I’ve betrayed myself for so long at nobody’s cost but my own,” she added. “No more cosplaying from me.”
Though Lambrini Girls won’t be hitting the Coachella stage, read on for memorable moments from the music festival over the years.

For months after their show, social media still could not get over seeing the image of the California rapper projected alongside his peers.
