Why SAG Awards Changed Its Name to Actor Awards Moving Forward
The ladies of Dunder Mifflin have landed at the 2026 Actor Awards.
And it was quite the reunion for The Office stars Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper and Angela Kinsey, who came together not just to present the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series—which went to The Studio—but also to reflect on their time together on the long-running series.
As Mindy, 46, joked from the stage at the Shrine Auditorium during the March 1 ceremony, “We are women who survived 22 episode seasons.”
Angela, 54, noted there were “no short orders,” with Ellie, 45, explaining that with a filming schedule that long “you didn’t plan a season around a pregnancy.”
“You just gave birth on camera and named the baby after a grip,” Mindy laughed. To which Jenna, 51, replied, “Then you came back the next week with another episode.”
And while the filming schedule could be relentless, as Angela pointed out it was also one many actors dream about because 22 episodes meant they “had a job from September to May.”
The quartet also laughed at the quality of episodes they produced, with Mindy—who served as a writer on the series—admitting there were “sometimes filler episodes that were kinda bad.”
But as Ellie pointed out, “It didn’t matter, because there was always another one right around the corner.”

Plus, their experiences on the show have allowed them to find new facets to their careers, with Angela and Jenna launching their podcast Office Ladies.
“Should I do a podcast about writing?” Mindy asked, to which Ellie responded, “Oh, Mindy, no one cares about writers.”
But one thing people still care about greatly is The Office, a fact that the cast—which also included Steve Carell, John Krasinski and more—is still so grateful for. Especially because they had such a great time working together.

“Every day I was on that set, at one—at least one point of the day, I was laughing until tears were coming out of my eyes,” Steve shared on Office Ladies in 2023. “And I mean, what a gift.”
He added, “Who has a job like that?”
And that job brought the cast of The Office two Actor Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2007 and 2008.
