See Prince William, Kate Middleton’s Royally Sweet BAFTAs 2026 Outing

The stars are celebrating across the pond at the BAFTAs 2026.

Indeed, the U.K.’s most prestigious award ceremony, the British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards, recognized the best in homegrown and international cinema at the Southbank Centre in London Feb. 22, with Alan Cumming serving as host for the evening that saw One Battle After Another win in six categories including Best Film.

And the occasion was extra special for acting winners Sean Penn, Wunmi Mosaku, Robert Aramayo and Jessie Buckley, the latter of whom won for her leading role in Hamnet.

“I dreamed a little bit to be a little bit like Judi Dench,” Jessie said during her speech. “This really does belong to the women past, present and future that have taught me and continue to teach me how to do it differently.”

The festivities—which will air at 8 p.m. ET on E!—had plenty of fashionable winners, with acting nominees including Timothée Chalamet, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan and Emma Stone bringing plenty of glamour to the red carpet. Kate Middleton also made her return to the show after a three-year absence, arriving alongside husband Prince William. (See every star who attended the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards here.)

Plus, attendees were treated to a performance of “Golden” by EJAEAudrey Nuna and Rei Ami—the singing voices behind KPop Demon Hunters’ fictional girl group HUNTR/X—as well as a performance by Jessie Ware during the In Memoriam tribute.

And while there can be only one winner from each category, many of this year’s projects stood out for their nominations alone.

Going into the event, One Battle After Another led the nominees with 14, edging out Sinners’ 13 nods while Hamnet and Marty Supreme tied with 11 apiece. The Ryan Coogler-directed horror film made history as BAFTA’s most-nominated film ever by a Black director, while Chloé Zhao’s historical drama earned the most nods for a female-directed film in the organization’s history.
