Keegan-Michael Key, Jonathan Scott and More Reveal Which Olympic Sports They Could Score a Medal in
If the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games have you fantasizing about Olympic glory, you’re not alone.
While celebrities like Usher, Simone Biles and Michelle Yeoh traveled to Italy to watch the world’s top athletes go for gold, many stars have opted to follow the events from home—and the high-stakes competitions have inspired some to consider their own chances of placing on the podium.
“I think I might be able to medal in cross-country skiing or biathlon,” Keegan-Michael Key exclusively told E! News’ Daryn Carp during the NBA All-Star Legendary Tip-Off Celebration at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles Feb. 13. “I would need some practice, [but] I’m not a bad shot.”
But as confident as the MADtv alum was about his abilities in those departments, he was equally certain about which sports he would not be well-suited for.
“I can’t do luge,” he continued. “But biathlon, I think. I cross-country skied a lot when I was a kid—no downhill, I can’t do the moguls—but I was pretty good at cross-country. It’s all about the quads.”
Jonathan Scott was also secure in his athleticism, though he admitted his twin brother Drew Scott might be his biggest competition.
“Drew likes to say he is the athlete of the family—and yes, he is a great athlete—but it doesn’t mean you’re good at everything, dude,” the HGTV star told E! at the event. “I think I would dominate in hockey, and basketball was his sport growing up. He was better than me at basketball.”

Of course, the Canadian-born TV personality—who is engaged to Zooey Deschanel—would also have to choose which nation to represent, a problem he already faces as a spectator.
“People also don’t know that I’m a British citizen, so I’m like, ‘Who do I cheer for?’” he explained. “I’m floored at the talent we’re seeing come out this year, so I’m cheering all over the place.”
And while Storm Reid was less convinced of her ability to win gold, the Euphoria alum become a vocal supporter of one Team USA athlete in particular.
“I want to be Chloe Kim so bad,” she shared with E!. “I think snowboarding is such a cool sport. It’s something that I wish I was good at. I’m trying to get better, but snowboarding is the s–t.”
