Hailee Steinfeld Shares Secret to Her and Husband Josh Allen’s Winning Romance
It’d be a sin for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen to stay quiet about how they maintain their touchdown-worthy romance.
Lucky for us, the Sinners actress revealed the secret to her and the Buffalo Bills quarterback’s solid relationship, even with their differing schedules.
“I don’t want it to seem cliché, but we focus on being truly present with each other,” Hailee, 29, wrote in a Q&A for her Beau Society newsletter published Feb. 6. “More specifically, we’re big on weekly date nights, and going no phones for an hour at the end of the day.”
Indeed, the couple—who tied the knot last May—are no strangers to sharing glimpses into their adorable romance. In fact, the pair announced in December that they would be welcoming their first baby together. As they prepare for their little one, The Edge of Seventeen star also revealed how her fitness routine has changed as her baby bump grows.
“At this point, they’re a little slower,” Hailee explained of her workouts. “I’m prioritizing listening to my body, which has been a consistent thing I’ve always done when it comes to working out, regardless of my physical state. Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of walking. Sometimes I set out for 30 minutes, and it ends up being 15, or less than that.”
“I’m taking it slow, but movement is key,” she added. “The other day, I felt like I should be going up and down the stairs more, so I started doing some housework that had me going up and down the stairs, and afterwards I was like, ‘Okay, I’m good with stairs for a while!’”
Ahead of their baby’s arrival, Josh, also 29, opened up about how he plans to balance training during the off season with his dad duties.

“I’ve known this from well in advance,” he told 13WHAM during a Jan. 29 Bills press conference. “I’ve got siblings that have kids, and I’ve got a lot of friends who have kids. I don’t know if you can plan too far in advance.”
And the NFL star can’t wait to enter this new era of his life.
“I’m very much looking forward to that with my wife of becoming a dad,” he said. “It’s something that I will take with great pride, and we’re going to have to figure out things on the go just like anything else.”
“This is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life, is being a dad,” Josh continued. “I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, but I’m looking forward to this one.”
