‘The Masked Singer’s’ Most Shocking Reveals That Made Fans’ Jaws Drop
You never know what to expect from this Masked Singer contestant.
On the Feb. 4 episode of the Fox competition series, Calla Lily went home despite wowing the judges with her performance of John Cougar Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane,” as judge Jenny McCarthy raved that she’d “blossomed.”
As for who was under the floral facade? Calla Lily hinted during her previous appearance on week two—during which she sang Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song”—that she had received a health diagnosis that made her world stop.
“But then I thought about my children,” she said. “I chose to face my fears and fight. And it seems to be working.”
And during her appearance during week four—when The Masked Singer celebrated the 250th birthday of the United States—Calla Lily teased that one of loved ones was connected to celebrating the U.S.A.
“I can’t celebrate America and not mention an American legend,” she said during her clue package, which featured a cryptic photo of a member of Calla Lily’s family. “He’s an icon, but to me, he’s so much more.”
The secret celeb explained that this particular member of her family was rather strict, and once grounded her in front of Madonna and Sean Penn for being late to dinner.
The package also hinted that her family member could be a singer, showing a record player in front of his photo.
“For a while I resented him for not making my life easy,” Calla Lily said of their relationship. “And there were years we were distant.”
Luckily, the two patched up their relationship, with Calla Lily adding, “I’m thankful for all he does for me. It made me be tough, strong and always on time for dinner.”
After her performance of the 1980s classic, the judges were given another clue: a diamond house key, which immediately gave Jenny an idea of who it could be.
“I see a house key and I see a diamond. And that sounds like a Beverly Hills Housewife to me,” the judge explained. “Put the clues together: gummy bear. Bear. Teddi. Cougar, dad’s nickname. Mellencamp. Cougar. This is Teddi Mellencamp from the Housewives.”
Jenny admitted she “could be wrong” but based on all the clues she saw, they pointed “in that direction.”
“I just honor your journey, girlfriend,” Jenny said, “and I feel so honored to have you here.”

And once it came time for Calla Lily to reveal herself after being voted off, the judges offered up their final guesses. Rita Ora stuck with her pick of Selma Blair, while Ken Jeong recalled a previous clue about an anchor, suggesting it could be Anchorman star Christina Applegate. Robin Thicke closed his case with Danielle Fishel, noting the Boy Meets World actress had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
But only Jenny was correct with her original guess of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors in 2025, but recently shared doctors had found no detectable traces of cancer.
“I’m not a singer by trade, clearly, and so that part was challenging for me,” Teddi said. “Also, a big part of my memory has been askew since my brain surgery. So I was a little bit nervous, but I was excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, and it felt like it gave me a little bit of life.”
