Snoop Dogg Shares Update After Daughter Cori Broadus Welcomes Baby
Snoop Dogg‘s family is navigating a tragic loss.
On Jan. 31, Snoop’s daughter Cori Broadus shared that her and fiancé Wayne Deuce‘s 10-month-old baby girl Codi Dreaux—who was born three months premature—died on Jan. 26, just 20 days after coming home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
“Monday, I lost the love of my life,” Cori wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a photo with her baby girl. “My Codi.”
Wayne also posted a tribute to his late daughter, writing in his own Instagram Story post, “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”
It was just three weeks ago that Cori shared footage of Codi after leaving the hospital.
“She’s home,” the 26-year-old captioned her Jan. 6 Instagram post. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
Cori announced Codi’s arrival last February after giving birth at 25 weeks.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” Cori wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!”
“Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!!” Cori continued. “Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Since that time, the family has kept fans updated on Codi’s journey.
In September, Cori shared a video with her baby girl in honor of NICU Awareness Month.
“Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story,” she wrote on Instagram. “I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day.”
