Former “Idol Philippines” season 2 finalist Annrain sets the tone for tender heartbreak and quiet longing in her self-titled debut extended play (EP).

“It captures the stillness after the storm of a past love,” described the StarPop artist.

The six-track EP featuring “Ngayong Alam Ko Na,” “Catch Me I’m Falling,” “Di Ko Kayang Limutin,” “Para Lang Sa’yo,” “Kahit Di Mo Sabihin,” and “Bumalik Ang Nagdaan” was penned by ABS-CBN Music creatives, content, and operations head Jonathan Manalo, Christian Martinez, and StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos, who also produced the record.

Annrain made her mark as a finalist on “Idol Philippines” season 2, captivating audiences through her memorable performances of “Orange Colored Sky,” “Till My Heartaches End,” and “The Power.” After her “Idol PH” stint, Annrain released her debut single “Bakit Ka Bumitaw” in 2023, which earned a spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines playlist.

She later collaborated with Geca Morales and Lyka Estrella on the PhilPop Himig Handog entry “Langit Lupa,” which was nominated at the 2025 Awit Awards for Best Alternative Recording and Best Collaboration.

Last year, she was introduced as one of StarPop’s new artists and released her versions of “Ngayong Pasko Magniningning ang Pilipino” and “Family Is Forever” for the “A Kapamilya Christmas” album, while continuing to make regular appearances on “iWantASAP” as part of the new generation of performers.
