ABS-CBN Bags Multiple Honors at 38th Aliw Awards

ABS-CBN artists and personalities were recognized at the 38th Aliw Awards for their outstanding contributions to the country’s concert and theater scene.

Singer-songwriter Maki bagged Best Director for a Major Concert and Best Male Artist in a Major Concert for the sold-out “Kolorcoaster.”

ABS-CBN Music creatives, content, and operations head and renowned songwriter and producer Jonathan Manalo was honored as Best Composer for Original Musical Theater for “Delia D.”

ASAP icons also bagged major recognitions—Regine Velasquez was named Best Female Artist in a Major Concert, Ogie Alcasid won Best Group Ensemble Performance in a Concert, Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez also received the Best Collaboration in a Major Concert honor. Gary Valenciano, Jed Madela, and Zsa Zsa Padilla were also recognized with Lifetime Achievement awards for their invaluable contributions to Philippine music and entertainment.

Star Magic artist Nikki Valdez, meanwhile, was named Best Lead Actress in a Musical for the play “Next to Normal.”

The Aliw Awards Foundation honors the country’s top talents in live performances and events.
